Creole Crab Cakes


Ingredients:

  • 8 oz crab meat (lump white or claw meat)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 tsp dry mustard
  • 1 tbs mayonnaise
  • ½ tsp lemon juice
  • 1½ tsp prepared mustard
  • 1½ tsp melted butter
  • ½ tsp parsley
  • ¼ C bread crumbs
  • ½ tsp creole seasoning, or to taste
  • vegetable or olive oil for pan frying

Add seasonings, Worcestershire sauce, mayonnaise, mustard, and egg to crab meat until well combined. Add bread crumbs a little at a time until the mixture holds together. You may not need to use all the bread crumbs. Shape the mixture into cakes and pan fry in vegetable oil or olive oil until golden brown. Serve at once.
